What is the “Aylien Text Analysis” NLP API?

Aylien Text Analysis is one of the NLP APIs that are integrated with WPSOLR’s NLP API extension.

According to Aylien Text Analysis documentation:

“Documents often contain mentions of entities such as people, places, products and organizations, which we collectively call Named Entities. Additionally they may also contain specific values or items such as links, telephone numbers, email addresses, currency amounts and percentages. To extract these entities and values from a piece of text, as well as the keywords, you can use the Entity Extraction endpoint.”

Get your Aylien Text Analysis credentials

1. Copy your App ID
2. Copy your API Key

Active the WPSOLR NLP API extension

1. Select the extension menu
2. Click the “Activate” checkbox
3. Save to activate the extension

Configure the Aylien Text Analysis NLP API

1. Click to create an Aylien Text Analysis NLP API configuration
2. Enter a name for your Aylien Text Analysis NLP API configuration
3. Activate this Aylien Text Analysis NLP API configuration
4. Activate the cache for this Aylien Text Analysis NLP API configuration
5. Select the provider “Aylien Text Analysis”
6. Select the service “Entity Extraction”
7. Enter your Aylien Text Analysis App ID
8. Enter your Aylien Text Analysis API key
9. Select each index you want to process with this Aylien Text Analysis NLP API configuration
10. Select each post types you want to process with this Aylien Text Analysis NLP API configuration (only the post types selected in WPSOLR screen 2.2 previously will show up here)
11. Save

Configure the WPSOLR search

1. Select the search menu
2. Select the presentation menu
3. Activate the search with WPSOLR

Configure the Aylien Text Analysis fields to index

1. Select the search menu
2. Select the index menu
3. Select the post types you want to index (containing the texts to extract)
4. Select the Aylien Text Analysis fields fields you want to index

Configure the Aylien Text Analysis fields to use as filters

1. Select the filters menu
2. Select the Aylien Text Analysis fields fields you want to use as filters
