If you use one SEO add-on (All In One, Yoast), they provide a noindex/no follow checkbox. The tags will then be generated on each facet link.

WPSOLR creates one main Algolia index, but also “duplicates” for each sort you use with WPSOLR (Algolia needs to create one duplicate for each sort).

Can you check the stats for the main index created in Algolia?

Algolia will indeed replace the whole search on your categories.

In the WPSOLR “Theme” add-on, you can configure the jQuery selectors that will tell WPSOLR what sections of your theme’s archives pages are the sort, the pagination, the results, the header.

Yes, the “Use permalinks” option is mandatory.

However, I am not seeing any permalinks for URLs produced by the facets when on a category page.

Indeed, permalinks are generated on search urls only.
