b) If you are on Cloudways, every server comes with a free local Elasticsearch: /guide/configuration-step-by-step-schematic/configure-your-indexes/create-a-cloudways-elasticsearch-index/

– For Solr
I do not know any free sandbox hosted.

– For Algolia:
You could also try Algolia, which provides a free tier for non-production usage: /guide/configuration-step-by-step-schematic/configure-your-indexes/create-an-algolia-index/

I’m not sure it is possible out of the box with Solr.

According to https://blog.griddynamics.com/implementing-autocomplete-with-solr/, getting Solr ordered multi-terms suggestions require a custom TokenFilter development.

For Elasticsearch, WPSOLR uses the default Phrase suggester.

It should work out of the box.
Just ensure that you selected your custom post type in screen 2.2, then indexed it.
Also, select “Post type” in screen 2.1 option “Replace front-end archives”.

Just change you search form to redirect to current page’s url rather than the search page.
So, /my-category/?s=query instead of /?s=query

My mistake.
The code you mentioned above is valid if you use a SEO add-on (Yoast, All In One SEO). It stores the SEO meta title or description in a global variable that you can use in your php templates.

Adding the empty parameter url when deselecting the filter is built on purpose to enable UI tuning with javascript.

For instance, you could decide to collapse the whole facet group on deselection, or change its colour, or add a dynamic message.

You can insert the facets widget where your want. You can probably manage to display it in a row with some css, or using select2 layouts.
