will I be able to create multi-drop down menus to filter custom taxonomies for my directory website whose theme is developed by the same people who did Directory2+ mentioned on your website?

I did not try the theme you use, Business Finder Directory Listing
You should download our plugin, install it on a test environment, and check if it fits your needs.

If yes, will I get some support from the forum to do that; I need some guidance to start with.

We provide a forum support (suggestions and Q&A), not guidance.

After a lot of digging, I decided not going further with the Ajax Search Pro add-on.

The code to build SQL queries by Ajax Search Pro is very complex, as expected, and cannot be mimicked in its current state without cloning all classes in /ajax-search-pro/includes/classes/search/*
Or it would require to add many apply_filters() in Ajax Search Pro’s code, one for each part of the SQL.

    Hello,

Your custom field “transkript” is setup with a Solr field type that cannot store more than 32K characters.

You need to change your field’s type in screen 2.2, and select instead the large text type “Text, if too long for other text types (cannot be used as facet)” in the dropdown list.

Do not forget to reindex all your data afterwards.

Change field type to large text

Do you mean if you dont get more signups, I will have to pay monthly fee?

If you buy a lifetime subscription, you will pay your one-off price, and keep the lifetime updates even if the offer is withdrawn from sale.

    Hi,

Since WPSOLR 21.0, PHP 5.6.5 is required: see changelog

    Hi,

We are currently evaluating the feasibility of replacing Ajax Search Pro SQL queries with WPSOLR Solr/Elasticsearch queries.

There are some discrepancies to be filled though. For instance, Ajax Search Pro returns CPTs (custom post types), as WPSOLR does. But it also returns other object types (like users, terms, categories, comments), but WPSOLR does not.

    Hi,

The questionnaire will be check box based rather than free text. Is the WP solr plug in set up for this type of use?

If your questionnaires are based on a custom post type and custom fields, WPSOLR can indeed search in them.

how much solr or developer experience is required with this plug in

You will only need to install Solr. WPSOLR will manage all Solr internals, and guide you with the index creation. Or you can simply rent an external Solr service. You can check for some here.

We have decided to test your suggestion.

You can find on the pricing page a new one-off offer, with lifetime updates and forums support.

It is a test. If your hint is true and we notice more signups, the offer will stay. If not, the offer will be removed.

    Thanks.

So, the current pricing, but for an evergreen subscription (no renewals fees), would be more acceptable?

Unfortunately, tab 2 display 2. Define your search with ‘No index selected’

In screen 2.1, select your new index in the index drop-down list.

Thanks. https://lucene.apache.org/solr/guide/7_4/config-sets.html should help you locate your configsets folder.

    Hi,

Can you tell me how you installed Solr?
