    Hi,

I am looking to create a search results page off the back of a questionnaire that I will ask users to complete. The questionnaire will be check box based rather than free text. Is the WP solr plug in set up for this type of use?

Please can you also advise how much solr or developer experience is required with this plug in. My experience is fairly basic.

    Thanks very much

    Jacqueline

If your questionnaires are based on a custom post type and custom fields, WPSOLR can indeed search in them.

You will only need to install Solr. WPSOLR will manage all Solr internals, and guide you with the index creation. Or you can simply rent an external Solr service. You can check for some here.

Thanks very much for your response.

With regards to the custom fields, do you mean creating an end user survey using customer fields. Or just using the custom fields to add the meta data to the page. My experience with custom fields has been the latter

Yes. As long as your questionnaire results are stored in the metas (custom fields) of a custom post type (page, or post, or other).
Do you use a plugin for your questionnaires?

Yes I will use a plug in, I’ll make sure it’s one that stores the results in the custom fields. Thanks very for your help!
