wpsolrKeymaster7 years, 8 months ago in reply to: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space while Indexing big PDF files #9786You can copy here the Solr startup command line that solved your issue. It might help other visitors.
wpsolrKeymaster7 years, 8 months ago in reply to: Questions and doubts #9781I understand that you cannot install locally Elasticsearch or Solr. In that case, you can hire a hosted index.
The simplest hosted solution with WPSOLR is opensolr.com
you can also look for other options within it, such as products, events-pro (from the same creator of the theme) or any other article created by other plugins implemented on the web
In fact, yes, and no.
Yes, because WPSOLR can search any custom post type, like Directory+ items, or WooCommerce products, or bbPress forums.
No, because it is not obvious to know how your theme will manage all those post types in its search template code. So, if you have a WooCommerce theme, it is designed to display products nicely. If your theme is Directory+, it is designed to display items nicely. Same for Listify and listings post types.
But if you ask WPSOLR to return products with Directory+, or items with Flatsome, nothing good will probably come from that.wpsolrKeymaster7 years, 8 months ago in reply to: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space while Indexing big PDF files #9774PDF files of 450 MB?
Your issue is apparently a lack of memory for Solr. You can try raising the Solr memory at start, as mentioned in https://stackoverflow.com/questions/45814405/solr-indexing-raises-error-while-posting-file
wpsolrKeymaster7 years, 8 months ago in reply to: WPSolr features and capability #9770Or just using the custom fields to add the meta data to the page.
Yes. As long as your questionnaire results are stored in the metas (custom fields) of a custom post type (page, or post, or other).
Do you use a plugin for your questionnaires?wpsolrKeymaster7 years, 8 months ago in reply to: Questions and doubts #9765Hi,
