Hi,

We just announced on WordPress.org that WPSOLR was closing its free version, but our forums would continue to answer to support requests.

WordPress.org closed our page after that.

Hi,

The port in your url is blocking the unlicensed access.

It’s done. You can now activate your new domain.

It means you can ask for this new feature in WPSOLR core. I cannot tell you when it will be delivered.

Thanks. Please create a new feature request for the image picker. And let’s discuss your cross domain needs in the custom job thread.

Hi again,

This could be a new standard filter for WPSOLR in /forums/forum/technical-configuration-issues/new-features-requests/.

Quite similar to our color picker.

Id like to send you a mock up of the filters, if I may

Please do

I’d much rather use your services for the crossdomain functionality

What do you need?

Hi,

Do you have an example of an image picker filter?

If you use a domain url containing localhost/dev/test/staging, you can simply download the plugin (“Download” button in the menu).

Trials are required when your domain is a production domain.

Hi,

Thanks for the feedback.

Concerning the hooks, I decided years ago to remove the examples and refer to the code because the code is tested. Unlike the documentation that often stays the same for years, as frozen in time, and does not follow code updates.

But starting from next release, the plugin will contain a folder with code examples. The examples will be easy to install and modify (each one being a child theme), self contained, tested within the plugin’s Selenium tests, and documented line by line. The first example is about building a custom twig template to display suggestions (autocomplete).

Concerning wp.org, it became obvious that WPSOLR was too complex for a free plugin. People were frustrated that they could not install Solr/Elasticsearch, and create an index, and tune tens of parameters, in 30 seconds flat.
