You do not need to. All custom fields and attributes can be added to the facets by setting up the screen “2.4 Filter”.

You can just use your sub-category archive page url. The WPSOLR filters will appear there also.

WPSOLR replaces WordPress archives, which only return post types.

On the other hand, WPSOLR suggestions can display taxonomies.
