Fields appear at the end of content because of option “Insert custom fields and taxonomies in content” in screen 2.2. Serialized or not.

The fix will work with all custom fields, yes.

What you want in fact is to deserialize custom fields before indexing.

It is done in our next release (and is already done for ACF fields).

Yes, WPSOLR is hooked on wp_post_update to detect real-time changes.

You should use it to trigger the reindexing. And it certainly costs much less than update_post_meta that you already use.

Or, you can use our cron extension to schedule a full/incremental reindexing every night.

Yes, “N° of results per page”. The filters are not used in the admin.

I honestly do not know, but probably difficult. I move your topic in the “wish list”.

    Thanks for the video.

The admin search is not fully compliant yet:

    – Parent-child relation ship is not respected
    – Number of items per page is driven by the parameter on WPSOLR screen 2.1, and not by the WP admin screen parameter.

I move the topic in the “wish list”.

Yes, because it browses inside all the custom fields and taxonomies you selected for indexing in screen 2.1, even in the admin. This is particularly spectacular on WoooCommerce orders, where the orders search can retrieve orders by the customers’s billing address for instance.

You should probably not index this field if it only contains ids.

Fixed by switching PHP 7.4.5 to 7.4.1. A fix will be created in next release.

I urgently need this indexing issue resolved as we have one of our primary categories missing filters due to not being able to synchronising the index. We will also be adding more products soon. Anything I can do let me know.

    Thanks! 🙂

Ok, I will wait for the fix. If some kind of payment is needed to accelerate the process, let me know.

    I understand now.

In theory WPSOLR should only modify the main query (the one used for listing the categories), leaving custom queries untouched (like the one for breadcrumbs).

I suggest to deactivate breadcrumbs at the moment, or perhaps use some other breadcrumbs plugin instead. I will not be able to fix that soon unfortunately.

If I deactivate the Woocommerce extension, breadcrumbs work ok.

But I can’t do that right now, website is live and that would remove our filtering.

Before I used WPSOLR only for the search.

In the last week we have now passed on to using WPSOLR with your Woocommerce categories extension and for the filtering as well. So I am trying to make it work perfect.

We used to use before a diferent plugin for filtering the products in the categories which did queries through MYSQL… which for our shop was no longer scaling to our needs due to the obvious reasons. Breadcrumbs worked well with that filter plugin (X for WooCommerce) and I had to do no changes, but I believe plugin developer had some specific settings / code built in there plugin to support the Kallyas theme correctly (as well as for many other popular themes).

WPSOLR does not deal with your theme’s breadcrumbs. Do you see the same problem if you deactivate WPSOLR?
