You have created your Opensolr index. You now need to select it in screen 2.1 as you search index.
wpsolrKeymaster5 years, 9 months ago in reply to: I failed to create a filter for products on sale with WPSOLR+WooCommerce #23326This “on sale” facet is in tests.
The solution requires to re-index all the products every day (WPSOLR provides a cron API for that), for performance reasons: when indexing a product, a new custom field “wpsolr_on_sale” is filled with “yes/no” depending on the product’s sale amount and sale dates (and also all its variations’ sale amount and sale dates).
This is time consuming during indexing, but lightning fast at query time. But as sale dates are stored at indexing time, re-indexing is necessary every day to update the on sale field when sale dates are no more valid.
wpsolrKeymaster5 years, 9 months ago in reply to: Filter overwrites limits (can’t see all of them) #23215You can find a fix in https://trello.com/c/e0T5HteW/124-override-the-50-limit-of-facet-items-that-can-be-seen-and-modified-in-screen-24-override-each-facet-item
A new setting in the “Theme” add-on can now override the default 50 items that can be displayed on each facet settings.
wpsolrKeymaster5 years, 9 months ago in reply to: Bug: clicking forward on pagination with Ajax #23210Indeed. The latest fix include the previous.
wpsolrKeymaster5 years, 9 months ago in reply to: Algolia insights tracking #23208Can you tell me how you imagine the whole setup would happen?
wpsolrKeymaster5 years, 9 months ago in reply to: Bug: clicking forward on pagination with Ajax #23207wpsolrKeymaster5 years, 9 months ago in reply to: Recommendations #23206I had the same dilemma with the infinitescroll feature, which is tightly integrated in themes or specialised plugins.
I decided to not implement infinitescroll for the same reason: too many themes/plugin addons to build for the feature.wpsolrKeymaster5 years, 9 months ago in reply to: replace the white overlay of loader with animated white gradient #23194Here is a pre-release of this feature (overlay jQuery selector on the “Theme” add-on): https://trello.com/c/3h4Q8swl/122-add-a-jquery-selector-for-the-ajax-overlay-on-the-theme-add-on
wpsolrKeymaster5 years, 9 months ago in reply to: Filter overwrites limits (can’t see all of them) #23193You can indeed only see 50 items per facets in screen 2.4
wpsolrKeymaster5 years, 9 months ago in reply to: Algolia insights tracking #23192It looks nice indeed, at least on paper.
But I wonder if it is really a good idea to introduce user behaviour in the algorithm. It is named “Learn to rank”, but I do not know an example of successful implementations.
The 2 points for me are:
– In general, you need a lot of data (user events) to get relevant results, which most sites do not have
– You can introduce user bias in your systemwpsolrKeymaster5 years, 9 months ago in reply to: Recommendations #23191This feature can only be implemented theme by theme, or plugin by plugin.
It requires both a nice display, associated with a query builder. Both are specific to the theme and/or a plugin.
I have done it for the “MyListing” theme, by replacing the “related listings” query with WPSOLR’s query.wpsolrKeymaster5 years, 9 months ago in reply to: Allow to exclude certain facet value from taxonomy/attributes/categories filters #23181For performance reasons, it would be better to prevent indexing of unwanted values.
I could add an exclusion regex on each field of screen 2.2?wpsolrKeymaster5 years, 9 months ago in reply to: Bug: Clicking back from filters #23180Just replace your WPSOLR version. Settings will be kept.
Be sure to clear your caches, as a js file was updated.
wpsolrKeymaster5 years, 9 months ago in reply to: replace the white overlay of loader with animated white gradient #23179Currently, the loader is centered on the results section.
I could add a “loader” jQuery selector setting in the “Theme”, so you can apply the loader to the section you prefer (you can simulate this feature by changing the jQuery results selector)
Would it work for both of you?
wpsolrKeymaster5 years, 9 months ago in reply to: Noindex/No Follow all WPSolr URL’s #23174There is not. You could try to catch some events from your SEO plugin to force noindex, nofllow on pages containing the “wpsolr_fq” url parameter?
