Probably.
This page is gathering all custom fields with a group by from the wp_postmeta.
If this table is huge, the SQL query can overwhelm the SQL server resources.

You can simply index field stock_status in screen 2.2, then select it as default sort in screen 2.5. Use relevancy as secondary sort for instance.

Do not delete the first index until the new index is created and indexed with all your documents. Then select the new index on screen 2.1, and delete the first index if all is fine.
