The js custom event ‘wpsolr_on_ajax_success’ is triggered once, just after the Ajax call and url update. But only when clicking on a facet.
Refreshing the page does not trigger the event.

You should be able to confirm that with:

jQuery(document).on('wpsolr_on_ajax_success', function (event) {
    console.log('hello');
});

It is not possible to reuse a Solr index. Indexes must be created from the WPSOLR admin, with its dedicated schema and config files.

I integrated add_filter( ‘woocommerce_redirect_single_search_result’, ‘__return_false’ ) to WPSOLR, to prevent single result breaking Ajax filters.

Your issue comes from the WooCommerce single search result redirecting to the product details page.

You can deactivate it with this filter:
