“It is used for all sorts of reasons on front-end, or back-end if you activate the “Replace admin archives” on screen 2.1”

    – That’s whats weird, I first thought of this when I saw the issue and checked. “Replace admin archives” is not selected?

Ok, I think I tracked it down. If, after going into the WProcket settings it will refresh every few seconds. However, if you click on another page and the back to WProcket the problem does not exist. This then allows me to open the autocomplete_solr.js file and bebug.
Its looks like line 114 is the issue and related to the back button issue that recently surfaced?

Thoughts on addressing? It doesn’t feel like this code needs to be loaded in most of the backend?

    Just an update here:
I created a staging site and the only two plugins enabled are WPsolr and WProcket using the 2020 theme. The refresh happens so quickly (every few seconds) that it’s hard to get in and really analyze anything. I will dig further and post back but please and advice you have please send.

Still trying to track this down. Its looking like it has something to do with the Heartbeat API.

Curious though, even if autocopmplete_solr.js is required on the front end. Why would be it be loading in the backend of wordpress?

Is the autocomplete_solr.js required even if I am not using the autocomplete?

Ok cool, Thank you! There are a few fixes now: This one, the click back which I already uploaded and then the loading icon in another thread.

Are the other two mentioned included in this version of the plugin?

I have over 1000 brands and some of them have very long names. It would be nice to be able to change how they are displayed without actually changing the category names. However, with the number of brands that I have – and considering they are alphabetized – I can only access brands that start with the letter A.

    Anyway to address this?

“I have done it for the “MyListing” theme, by replacing the “related listings” query with WPSOLR’s query.”
That’s cool, ideally, it works like many other related product plugins that inherit the style of the product loop set by the theme.
For example, this is a great related products plugin that requires no effort from the user when installing (in regards to styling):

    Related Products for WooCommerce

Would you be interested in doing this as a custom job?

Very true on needing lots of data but that’s only for certain types of personalization and personalization is only one of the goals here.

Without manipulating the results at all you can take advantage of the recommendations API in order to send personalized emails or provide personalized on-site recommendations.

    https://www.algolia.com/doc/rest-api/recommendation/

In these two cases, it is much less important to have millions of users (for example) since the data presented to the user is personalized to that user and is independent of what other users do.

However, the user token and at least the click events have to be in place in order to set a personalization strategy.

A much more simple reason why to implement Algolia insights is to use the reporting which includes clickthrough rate, conversion rate, and click rate at the query level. This independent of any personalization at all but still very important.

This issue is resolved. I found a more minor issue though but will post in a separate ticket.

Thank you! How should I go about updating? Will I need to reinstall or can I copy over the existing folder and keep all my settings?

I am having a problem with this is as well. It would be ideal to center the loading icon on the screen instead of what appears to be it being centered in the results.

    Thank you!
Is there a code snippet I could use until then?
