Did you create the index from WPSOLR, or from outside?

I think it’s the Search Result page that is not working on my theme.
I’ve done a few test. And realized that the search input dropdown works fine https://imgur.com/a/KEdAMUg, but not the search page as shown in this link : https://imgur.com/a/UpnkCqf .

Any advise on how I could solve this issue…?

Ok, so suggestions are working fine.

Is your search page using the standard url: “/?s=”

yes, it is using the standard url “https://{{domain}}/?s=a”

I switch the theme to see if the issue comes from the theme, unfortunately, the error message — “WPSOLR PRO : an error prevented the search engine query to be executed. To prevent empty results, the default WordPress query is used instead. Please check the error details in your debug.log file. See https://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress”

still shows on the console using other theme..

Hi, if it’ll be easier for you to look into my issue. this is the link. as you can see the products are there. but the wpsolr is not showing on the sidebar even though it’s already been added. and the wpsolr pro error message displayed on console.

    Thanks.

We must understand if your search query can reach your Elasticsearch instance. Try to find access in your Elasticsearch logs, and check that they are not blocked by a firewall on your WordPress server.

Thanks for replying. I’m not very good at this. When you said access to elasticsearch logs, and check if it’s been blocked by firewall on WP server….? Is this the page you’re after..? https://imgur.com/a/4BkeTkR

Check if your get ERRORS in your log.

You can also log slow search requests: https://qbox.io/blog/slow-logs-in-elasticsearch-search-index-config-example

For blocked queries, you can ask your hosting provider.

Alrighty.. with regards to Errors in log. there isn’t any. So I did some test on querying my search. It seems that elastic search is not responding to narrow search (i.e. when i include the hammer) as shown in the screenshot:

Do you think this might be the cause of it..?
