Can't create first index

I am just starting to take a look at WPSolr but have hit a problem immediately. Perhaps I am missing something basic but when I try to create a free index to test…basically nothing happens in the admin UX. Looking at some videos, it seems when I click the first option I should have some further configuration options show up, no?

See this video for what I mean (by the way, the second button also seems to be broken).

Also, see these errors in dev tools, which I assume may be relevant.

    05.18.2019-07.25.28

Running on WordPress 5.2, Chrome and Windows 10. Just downloaded the plugin yesterday.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

PS: I have tried this on a couple of different machines, with Incognito mode, cleared cookies, etc, etc. I am also assuming that I can ignore the warning about not having a license – guessing (and hoping) that isn’t necessary for testing the free plugin against the free, 2 hour index.

    Hi,

You need to activate your trial license on your production instance, or use the plugin on a dev/test/staging instance. See can-i-get-free-seats-on-my-license-for-my-dev-test-sites

Thank you. I am wondering if I have missed an eMail or some other part of the onboarding process. I am still confused.

I’ve searched around eMail received and your site and can’t find any reference to a trial license. I do see the option to manage licenses (“Click here to manage your licenses”), but this just brings up a screen prompting me for a license key or inviting me to purchase Premium (not sure if that is the same as Pro).

I’ve also searched the knowledge base for “trial license” but can’t find anything.

Where can I locate this trial license? I only need this on the one server for now (it’s non-production). In short, I’m stumped.

    Thank you.

You can get the trial on the pricing page.
