Trouble getting connected to search service (error 406)

    I’ve set up an Elasticsearch index on a trial account with Bonsai. However, each time I go to check the index status and save the config (0. Connect your indexes step), I get an error 406 (screen shots linked below). Could be mistaken, but I believe everything’s been done according to the tutorial. Please advise.

    Is it Elasticsearch 7? Elasticsearch 8 is required with WPSOLR.

    Yep, that’s it! I started out testing Elasticsearch on Bonsai, but found out later they haven’t yet transitioned to v8.x on their more entry-level plans. I’m now trying out OpenSearch on Aiven and things are working well so far. Thanks for your help!

    For anyone reading this, just want to say that both Bonsai and Aiven have top-tier support, very responsive and accommodating. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend either/both.
