Hi,

I am using WPSolr Enterprise on our website.

I am trying to use “Recommendations” option on our product single page. I have added the Shortcode generated after configuring Recommendations but it is not showing at the frontend instead it is showing below warning message

Warning: Array to string conversion in /www/wp-content/plugins/wpsolr-enterprise/wpsolr/core/classes/engines/elasticsearch_php/class-wpsolr-searchelasticsearchclient.php on line 2106

Please suggest how to make it work

Unselect the dropdown list option to log queries on screen 2.2

It should remove this error. We will fix it on release 24.0

No error is not showing now. But the Recommendations are showing on product page.

Sorry, I meant to say, errors are not coming anymore but the Recommendations are not showing on product single page even after adding the generated shortcode.

Did you index your products, and selected them on your recommendation settings?

Does it require Re-Indexing data after configuring Recommendations on 2.3 screen?

Data was indexed already and then I configured Recommendations on 2.3.

No, but I want to be sure that “products” are indexed, as you are on a product detail page.

If you indexed only product variations, no recommendations would show up, unless you were on a product variation detail page.

Hi,
This would be difficult for us to Index Products as well. We are only showing variations on front-end and it would be a nightmare to handle this.

Is there any workaround for this.

If you want to show related items to a product, the product itself must be in the index to be compared to.

But indexing both products and variations should not be an issue, as your search can be filtered by the post_type.

For instance, in the facet settings, set the post type “product_variation” as select by default.
