    Hello,
    Pre-sales questions:
    – Is the WPSolr plugin compatible with the latest version of the media cloud plugin?
    – Has WPSolr been used by other clients who host on Pantheon? Are there any known issues with hosting on Pantheon and using WPSolor?

We are not aware of this plugin.

We have agency clients with tens of licenses on Pantheon. Just know that WPSOLR does not work with Pantheon’s hosted Solr. You will need some external Solr/Elasticsearch/OpenSearch hosting.

    Thank you for your reply.

Media Cloud plugin is a plugin for offloading images from the WP install to something like S3 buckets.

Is WpSolr able to index images that are not in the normal WP media library but referenced in another table, so that media library search results display in the search?

WPSOLR does not index image content, as it is not supported by search engines.

With one exception though, the Weaviate vector search engine, which can index and search images within the media library’s admin. You can check our Weaviate’s CLIP model image search video demo.WPSOLR does not index image content, as it is not supported by search engines.

Regarding Media Cloud plugin, I presume the actual storage of the images is hidden behind the standard WP apis. It should be transparent to access them.
But if your question was about displaying images on the front-end results, there will be no issue at all, as WPSOLR does not manage results display. It is done by the theme.
