I could replicate the issue from level 2 categories: when selected, their parent and children are shown. Only their children should be displayed.

The fix is part of the plugin. It will be delivered from the next release upgrade. Nothing to do.

Okay, then there is still some confusion in which is the higher level of items as shown in this example.

Here you can see that Tops & shirts is at a higher level, and t-shirts and tops are under this. However, because there is no difference it looks like “Dames Jurken” is under there too. I there a way for us to highlight the higher levels?

Your theme’s css has flattened the levels indeed.

Add a bit of css to add some margin or padding to the levels. Using the chrome inspector, you can notice that each level has a class like wpsolr_facet_l0, or wpsolr_facet_l1, or wpsolr_facet_l3 …

Use that to create your own indentation. For instance:

padding-left: 5px;
}
.wpsolr_facet_l2 {
padding-left: 10px;
}

I tested locally with 2000 product tags. The select2 filter is correctly displayed.

I noticed that your select2 drop down list contains the brands, but they are invisible. I also noticed that the select2 js library files are also loaded by your WooCommerce.

Is there another plugin (product filter?) that could be in conflict?

The other plugin we have is Yith, but it is turned off. As mentioned before, it is only the brand add-on.

We do not provide a datepicker, but we have a date range slider: /guide/configuration-step-by-step-schematic/activate-extensions/extension-theme/theme-facets-layouts/theme-range-slider-layout/
