The shortcode is deprecated, you must switch to your theme to display results (in screen 2.1).

I checked my pages, seems the same shortcode is still being used by this auto generated page

Yes, the shortcode and its autogenerated page are deprecated.

Select 2.2. option “Search template” with “Use my own current theme search template”: your theme will display WPSOLR results as usual on standard WP archive pages. You can then add the WPSOLR facets widget on your archive pages with the WP customizer.
