    OK. I got it. “Set a name for your index, visible in SearchStax Solr admin (only letters and “_”, no whitespaces)”

    On a guess I suspected the _ was the problem. dev_search was my original try. devsearch is what I changed it to and it worked.

    Yes I did and I also made sure the ip address was on the allowed list.

    I haven’t been able to get this one to work with categories for either of those optons… Do not index items (post, pages, …) and Filter items from search results (post, pages, …).

    I can filter out specific posts but not whole categories.

    WPSOLR 23 shows it is “tested on current version.” with Searchstax.

    This link shows that it has been tested on SOLR 7.5, on version 21.4 and later. I can’t find 21.4 to download and test.

    I am attempting to use Elasticpress but I am getting an error with that one.

    OK. So what current hosted solr do you recommend that works with WPSOLR 23?

    OK. But not any version Solr 8? I see posts about it being testing on 8.4 with Seachstax. Am I not able to user searchstax anymore?
