WPSOLR active and working but Wordpress standard search results are shown

    Hi,
    We have WPSOLR plugin active and working on several sites with different themes and custom code. On one of them it doesn’t show search results from SOLR results anymore. It must have stopped working some time ago but we failed to notice it. Many updates have been deployed so we aren’t sure what caused it.
    The problem: We can see WPsolr is still performing searches (from debug log and SOLR instance). Results are obtained in less than a second. WordPress however at the same time also does it’s horrible search query which takes 10 seconds or more. And those are the results that are displayed, not the results from WPSOLR.
    Do you have a suggestion where to look for the cause of the problem? For instance, I don’t get why both WPSOLR and WP’s standard search are done both. Do you?

    Which release of WPSOLR is it?

    WPSOLR PRO 22.5.2 so not the latest but that applies to all other WordPress sites we have. All work but one.

    When an error is detected, WPSOLR reverts back to the standard WP search.

    You should be able to read the error in your debug.log file if you activate WP_DEBUG_LOG.

    Or you can get it live from our Query Monitor add-on.
