Service Temporarily Unavailable

    Hi

I recently deleted and created a new solr index on opensolr.com for my development site (WPSOLR was returning several PHP errors so I wanted to try a new index).

I have gone through the configuration of WPSOLR again but when I try to visit the ‘2.2. Data’ or ‘3. Send your data’ tabs the browser sits for a while and then returns the error ‘Service Temporarily Unavailable’.

I tried deactivating and uninstalling the WPSOLR module and then reinstalled hoping that I could begin the configuration from scratch but the module remembers all my previous settings (I guess these are held in the wp_options or another table and not removed on module uninstall).

Do you know what the cause could be?
Is there a way to remove the previous WPSOLR config completely and begin from scratch?

    Many thanks

You can delete your settings indeed in tab “4. Import / Export settings”.

I deleted the settings and set up a new index on Opensolr.

I reconfigured all the screens but still get errors on the 2.2. Data’ or ‘3. Send your data’ tabs. These errors are normally ‘Service Temporarily Unavailable’ or ‘Gateway timeout’.
On some occasions, I can reach the ‘3. Send your data’ tab, but indexing the data takes far longer than on our live site.

I have often experienced browser timeout/memory issues with the data screen due to the large amount of ACF repeater fields on our site but this seems more related to server memory or resources.

I’m using WPSOLR PRO 23.9 with PHP 8.1

    Many thanks

With lots of data in your wordpress, your resources could be exhausted on your dev/test WordPress server.

    OK thanks

I have considered increasing the capacity of our host server. Hopefully, this will help.
