On behalf of the number of maximum facet results in the drop down list, there seems to be a max number of facet options to be displayed for selection.

I need to adjust one of them to show more.

For example, I have a brand that has a catalogue for most makes of cars. The drop down list will not show all makes for selection because the list is big. It goes from Audi.. Austin… till VW.. Volvo… but it stops half way. So I only get the makes from A to K… and the rest is missing.

How can we adjust the number of options shown in a drop down list with Select2 ?

If you switch your select2 to checkboxes, do you see all your makes?

No. It has the exact same limit with checkboxes as well.

I just counted them. It gets capped at 100 options.

Did you set a facets maximum count in screen 2.1?

No. of values to be displayed by filters

Is set to 0

Which should show unlimited values.

I just changed it to 500. It now works as intended and up to 500 results are shown.

Problem fixed!

Although setting to 0 does not give unlimited results as is indicated. Maybe a bug ?

Thanks! Never passed my mind trying a diferent number.

What are the drawbacks of showing more results? It doesn’t seem to slow down the processing time for the page load.

Drawback is more data to collect by Solr and send back to WordPress. Probably a bit slower.

I tried now out of curiosity “-1” but it doesn’t allow to save the settings if this value is introduced.
