How do I prevent items from the trash and drafts from being indexed and ending up in the search?

They should not be indexed of course.
If you trash or draft a product, you should see the WPSOLR message “Product removed from the index”.

These pages are showing up in the auto-suggest but not in the actual search results (after you click enter). I also do not see them in the category or facets.

All status are indexed if you activate the “Index all status. To replace search in admin too. Only published is shown in front search” in screen 2.2

But suggestions and search only return published post types on front-end.
