I am going to work with https://www.bonsai.io to get it working. We have two more sites and i’ll buy a license for those once I get it working

There are some limitations with bonsai: no pdf indexing

Drawback of Amazon: you can only restrict access to indexes with IP address. No basic http authentication (to my knowledge).

No. It is basically the same, but you can add a user/password to protect each index.
