Hello There,
We are using your plugin on our Woocommerce Website.
However, I noticed something weird when we started importing the products that contain variations.
When adding a variable product, the attributes (color, size,…) do not show in the facets.
Also the count in the facet label (attributes that belong to simple products) are showing wrong counts.
I belive this is because variations are not taken into consideration.
For example check this link:

you will only see colors of simple items

WooCommerce displays products (variable, simple) in archives, like the shop, the product search, or product categories.
Facets therefore only count product attributes.

For instance, in the following link you can count 6 yellow products, as shown on the yellow color facet: https://selasaudi.com/product-category/fashion?wpsolr_sort=sort_by_relevancy_desc&wpsolr_fq%5B0%5D=pa_color_str%3AYellow

yes i understand but let me clarify the situation
first check this link https://selasaudi.com/product-category/fashion?wpsolr_fq%5B0%5D=product_cat_str%3ABaby&wpsolr_fq%5B1%5D=product_cat_str%3ABaby%20Boys&wpsolr_sort=sort_by_relevancy_desc
you see in the color facets (pink, blue, brown, multi) only
however in the same page there is a product named “VERSACE T-SHIRT BIANCA STAMPATA IN JERSEY DI COTONE BABY BOY – BABY BOYS” which is a variable product, it has color gold, which is not showing in the facets.
and this is happening for all attributes and taxonomies, which made me think that variable products are not taken into consideration.

This is a purpose feature.
WPSOLR does not index attribute values for variable products that have no variants in stock for that attribute. Which is true in your case.

Example: do not show facet ‘gold’ if no variations in stock have that color attribute.

actually, it has variants in stock
as you can see i have 5 variants of this product which are all gold and all are in stock.

Variant 1: Color: Gold, Size 9-12 Months
Variant 2: Color: Gold, Size 12-18 Months
Variant 3: Color: Gold, Size 18-24 Months
Variant 4: Color: Gold, Size 24 Months
Variant 5: Color: Gold, Size 36 Months

The gold color applies to the product, not to the variants: no “Use for variations” on screen1
