Reinventing search engines on S3 cloud storage

While Data Lakes rose on cheap limitless scalable block storage (S3, GCP, Azure), the Lucene search ecosystem is still working on traditional file storage No more, with the arrival of new players: https://quickwit.io/ and https://www.chaossearch.io/

Solr hosting on Pantheon

I’m looking to have a site hosted on Pantheon that has a large number of PDF files (probably up to 10,000 or so). The PDF files will be in WordPress uploads folder for a short while and then will move to an Amazon S3 bucket. Will your plugin be able to work under that scenario. We are looking at using pantheon web hosting.

Qbox Elasticsearch: home

Create a Qbox Elasticsearch index

Setup WPSOLR and Qbox From WPSOLR 21.4. This video suppose you already have an account at Qbox. You will see how to create a Qbox index with a few clicks.   What is Qbox? Qbox is a service to host Elasticsearch indexes. Rather than installing Elasticsearch on your own servers, you get a subscription and let the service manage your indexes on your behalf. No need of manpower, or servers, anymore. Here is the video tutorial: 1 – Signup for a free trial at Qbox   2 – Navigate to your Qbox dashboard   3 – Create your first Qbox cluster   3.1 – Set a name for your cluster 3.2 Select a Cloud Provider (where your nodes/VMs will be deployed) 3.3 Select a Cloud Provider region

Vespa error : “feed: got status 507”

When trying to deploy your Vespa application and index your documents, you could receive the following error :   feed: got status 507 ({"pathId":"/document/v1/mynamespace/music/docid/hardwired-to-self-destruct","id":"id:mynamespace:music::hardwired-to-self-destruct","message":"[UNKNOWN(251009) @ tcp/a9a1e3304702:19112/default]: ReturnCode(NO_SPACE, External feed is blocked due to resource exhaustion: in content cluster 'music': disk on node 0 [a9a1e3304702] is 93.9% full (the configured limit is 75.0%). See https://docs.vespa.ai/en/operations/feed-block.html) "}) for put id:mynamespace:music::hardwired-to-self-destruct: not retryable   This is because the disk space is almost full (in this case 93.9%). When the nodes reach a certain limit, the nodes block external write operations.   By default Vespa sets it’s disk space limit at 0.75 (75%).  You can increase it by adding the following lines to the ‘services.xml’ file in your Vespa application package, more precisely inside the ‘<content>’ tag :

Where top find setup files for Solr 8.1?

I have a server with Solr 8.1 installed. If I try to connect to the server under ‘0. Connect your indexes’ it proposes me to download this file: curl -L -o myindex.zip https://www.dropbox.com/s/aqbhhv4dw41hrmx/wpsolr-v9-0.zip?dl=0 But this is for solr9 and leads to all kinds of problems. For example it tries to use CaffeineCache which was only introduced i think in Solr 8.6. Where can i find the correct files for Solr 8.1?
