    Hi

How does the license behave when working on a staging and a live site?
    How to manage this.

For your staging environments, from release 21.1, if the domain contains localhost|dev*|test*|staging*, it does not ask for a license. This replaces the previous tedious procedure of manually adding a test seat on a subscription.

License contains “seats”, one per site activated. You can add more live sites by upgrading your subscription.

The staging url is generated by Cloudways, it does not contain the words you mention.
How to make this work easily? Because the need of a flawless staging development workflow is a must have.

Right now, I do not have a solution.

I can only suggest to use a custom subdomain name. It’s pretty straightforward with Cloudways.

(and Cloudways provide a free local Elasticsearch server)

You can just deactivate your license in one environment, then activate it in the other. All from the plugin.
